A decade or two ago one could purchase a product called Anusol which
contained about a dozen bismuth suppositories. Recently, I was looking
for this in drug stores and have been unable to find it. The closest
thing to it is a product with the brand name Tuck's, which indicates
on the package that it used to be called Anusol, but it is not made
of bismuth.
I would like to know whether the old Anusol, made with busmuth, is
still available and, if so, from whom?

My husband was looking for this recently, also. Apparently the product
has been bought by Pfizer and is being marketed in some places under
the Tucks logo.
I can't tell, from my online search, if the U.S. OTC product still
contains bismuth oxide, but you can still buy the original formulation
online from U.K. pharmacies (and possibly Canadian).
It also appears that Anusol Plus HC, which is sold by prescription, is
still available in the U.S. and still also contains bismuth, in
addition to Hydrocortisone (which is the HC part). My husband has used
the prescription Anusol in the past and found it very effective. You
may want to consult your doctor.

Allen...Tucks is basically cornstarch and not very effective IMO. I can't
take prep H or its generic equivalents because it leaks back out. Have you
ever tried "Proctofoam HC". You will need an Rx for it, and it seems to be
popular among doctors. Along with all my other ailments, I have had three
hemorrhoidectomies - what a pain in the a.s - lol . Take care...Pete
