Hi,

I'm after the name of a drug:

It lowers heart rate, but the patient has a unbelievable feeling of
dread, like they're dying..

Thanks,

D

It sounds like you mean adenosine, which is used to treat
supraventricular tachycardia (SVT is a much-too-fast heart rate).
Adenosine resets the cardiac pacemaker by stopping the heart for a few
seconds. The heart then starts back at a normal rate. Patients feel like
crap for the moment the drug is working.
