I've heard that's it's possible for a tongue or face to go numb after
recieving a tongue piecing?  Well, is it possible and why?  Thanks!

Yes, it is possible you heard that.

Your tongue might go partly numb if one of the nerves is damaged during the
piecing. However, it shouldn't affect the rest of your face.
