I would like to have some information on headaches.  I am in my
mid-twenties and just in the last 6 months have begun experiencing very
strong headaches.  They will come and go continuously for up to a week.
There doesn't seem to be a link to any particular food or drink as I
eat healthy, work out and don't drink caffeine.  Normally they start
behind my eyes and and stay in the front of my head.  But movement of
anykind or light will cause them to be more intense.  Any help you can
give will be appreciated.

Thank you

You are getting migraines.  Here is a source of information:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/migraine.html

I would also suggest reading _All in My Head_ by Paula Kamen,
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0738210390/sr=8-2/

I married into a family that gets migraines, the tendency is often genetic.
I don't get them, but the routine in our house when someone gets one is to
have the sufferer go to a dark, quiet room with a cool compress after taking
ibuprofen or "Aleve".

If yours continue, and do not respond to the simple treatment, please seek
out a medical professional.

It should be the other way around: seek a doctor first, to rule out
anything serious, and then worry about treatment.

See a doctor.  Headaches at your age are unlikely to be anything
serious, but some of the serious causes are so grave (and so easy to
rule out), that they must be investigated.  A brain scan can answer a
lot of questions.

If no obvious cause is found (and there probably won't be one), then
symptomatic treatment is your option.

Headaches of sudden onset require investigation in particular, even
though they are likely to be benign in young people.

This may be cluster headache, which is probably related to migraine,
but less common.
