Vioxx could cause a heart attack within the first two weeks of taking
the drug. In a new study from Mcgill University, researchers found
about a quarter of patients who took vioxx suffered a heart attack in
an average of nine days after starting the drug. After the initial
start period, the risk for heart attack seemed to level off, and then
disappeared shortly after treatment ended. Researchers say this study
shows the cardiovascular risks associated with vioxx may start earlier
than they previously thought. Check out the video about this subject:

You said it wrong: A quarter of the patients who had a heart attack had it
within an average of 9 days of starting Vioxx.
