Hello,
The outer part of one of my fingers strongly hit the sharp edge of a
computer case chassis. The result was a deep cut. This occured on March
15. The first days, I let it naturally heal, then on Mar 27, seeing it
was not improving rapidly, I used an ointment. In the following 2
weeks, it made scarring. I've been able to heal everything, and get rid
of scarring disorganized skin cell and replace with normal skin, except
for a tiny depression in the skin, where the top layer of that area
seems to remain rigid.
This depression is kind of oblong (oval), and only measures maybe 1mm
wide by 2mm long. It is located over the joint nearest to nail on
middle finger. It itches when I bend the finger, sometimes just
slightly bend, or grasp something that implies abrupt skin movement
(like turning a key in a doorlock or removing the cover of a felt-tip
pen). If I gently pass my nail on that tiny surface, I feel the surface
is flaming, and it is what causes the itching when finger moves. The
normal skin abruptly stop along the border of that spot, and tends to
harden and raise around that spot and inflate, change color, depending
on activity I do... I noticed that spot was very deep after the injury,
and was constantly there while the wound was healing. Now it seems less
deep, or appears deep because of surrounding skin raise and inflating.
It was the last spot where hard dried very thin tissues peeled off.
Two days ago, I started to put a Vitamin E cream overnight, and that
spot seems to resist and continue to itch. When cream activates,
surrounding skin deflates, so I see better the tiny spot, but will tend
to inflate again later. This was probably the deepest part of the cut
wound.
I feel that my problems will stop when I'll turn that itching and ugly
depression back to normal skin. I feel depressed because of that, and
need help to heal. Given that 1mmx2mm spot is gone, I'm sure all
surrounding skin will heal quickly and correctly.
If just waiting will heal, how long?
Thanks for any help, or share of similar stories.

Hello,
I just want to correct my text a bit. In the text below, I mean more
"Painful" or
"Flaming", rather than "Itching". Sorry, but my English vocabulary is
not complete
and I used the wrong term (French is first language).
And often the 1mmx2mm spot is thinner skin and softer. It depends
probably
on condition.
It's seems deeper after 12-minute shower, too.
Sorry for the update.
Thanks again for any help.

Read the post at the Google Group Skin-Cancer, that treatment might
work.
