Hello,

I am 43 and I have swelling in the area where the tonsils should be, but
they were removed at the age of 9. Seems to come back from time to time and
bugs the crap out of me. Feels like I have a ball in there. I don't smoke
(anymore) and drink very little. The pain is more like an ache that seems
to effect my neck and upper back. Pain killers help, but I noticed this
week that since the doc gave me an antibotic for an unrelated problem. As
soon as I was done with these Meds, the swelling started up again. ENT time
I guess? My regualar doc is one of those that fly in and out. Can't stop
him with a car bomb. This has been a problem on and off for years so I
don't think I am suffering from any bad stuff. I would be dead already.

Any ideas?

Ps, seems to be worse at night.???

Hello,

It does grow back sometimes and since there was probably no reason to remove
it in the first place I suggest you sue the medical service for an
uneccessary procedure that probably caused years of discomfort and increased
risk of infection.

It is a single gland at the back of the mouth at the top.  It is favourite
for medics to remove it as they get quick cash and it is quite simple.
There is no need to remove it and its absence causes permanent throat
discomfort.  It is part of the immune system and helps reduce chances of
infection.

The problem you have is probably the result of the procedure.

Remember medics are on a different wavelenth to you and your opinions don't
count. All medics do really is make money.

They look at you and say to themselves, "Here is a case how much can I make
out of him?" The do not care much about you and if you die or suffer they
just shrug and say, that was another case, send for my lawyer.

I say if the doc gets it wrong, his head if faulty, cut it off. (Its i
simple procedure, use a guilotene)

Chris.
