Dr M is correct in that it is simply guessing and it should be looked into.
It sort of reminds me of the post on penis irritation above.
"The symptoms of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome include
difficult and sometimes painful urination, discomfort or pain in the
perineum, bladder, testicles and penis as well as difficult and painful
ejaculation. In some cases, these symptoms can be indistinguishable from
those described above for chronic bacterial prostatitis. "

Sometimes physical therapy can help in muscle tension induced pain or alpha
blockers.
Just something else thrown in the mix, CPPS.

Robert...I wasn't saying that it shouldn't be looked at, but merely saying
if the person had external hemorrhoids he would know it (or should be
intelligent enough to know it). And you don't want to get me going on CPPS,
prostatitis, urethritis, cystitis, BPH, etc. Perineal pain can be difficult
to solve at best, even after the gamut of tests (including scans and
endoscopies). I have an inordinate amount of suffering and experience
pertaining to the subject of perineal pain (to this day). I have at least
five things wrong with me, and urology problems are right up there near the
front. Take care...Pete
