It's probably an allergic reaction to the adhesive, though I'd think it
would be itchy if it were. If it is an allergic reaction, Benadryl
cream or hydrocortisone cream will improve it. If you have surgery in
the future you should tell them at preop counseling that you may have a
tape allergy.

Thanks. It is a tape allergy, and epinephrine, hydroxyzine and
hydrocortisone turned out to be the answer (it spread and got a lot
worse). I know I'm allergic to tape, but I've never had it on that long
or had that severe a reaction to it.
