I have had a urinary tract infection for over a month. It didn't
respond to Cipro.
Tonight, I noticed I have a pink blotchy rash on my left knuckles. Also
small 1 or 2 pink blotches on left wrist and arm.
I am paranoid about sepsis! WHat does sepsis rash look like? Could this
be allergic reaction to Cipro? Blotches do not itch.
I do not have fever or other signs of sepsis, but have had chills off
and on last week or so. dr. said don't worry about chills if no fever.

Are you still on ciprofloxacine? What's the dose? 1000 mg / day? If yes,
a sepsis IMHO is rather implausible.

No-I was on 1000 mg/day for 8 days but stopped it when it didn't seem
to be working. Dr. wanted me off it for 2 days so we could do another
urine culture, which I am doing today. Am hoping test will help him
pick RIGHT antibiotic that will work. Longer I go w/out treating this,
more nervous I get it will be harder to treat.
Rash is gone today but I still wonder what to look for on the skin as
sign of sepsis.
