I had a very strong pain in the abdominal area. It seemed to be in the area
just below where the ribs come together in the depressed area of the chest.
It happened first a couple months ago and lasted for a day and a half. This
time it was even stonger, lasted for 6 hours and there is a very minor
discomfort that continues after a couple days that has nearly faded away. I
am scheduled to see a doctor, but would like to hear some possible causes.
I am middle aged, good weight, no alcohol, drugs or medications.
Thanks,
Simon

Try searching for epigastric pain causes.

GERD, stomach ulcer, esophageal motility disorder, gall bladder disease,
irritable bowel syndrome, angina pectoris -- the diagnoses that come most
immediately to mind.
