Am I the only one that's grossed out by the thought of having to take my shoes
off at the baggage inspection station and then walk through thousands of other
people's foot fungi, planar wart sheddings, and whatever else in my socks -
which I then have to put back into the sanctity of the insides of my shoes?

Admittedly overstated.... but it just seems like a bad idea public-health-wise.

Be glad that some terrorist hasn't tried to smuggle a bomb on baord in a
"body cavity". If that ever happens, we're ALL going to have to bend over.

And.... where was the bra bomber when we needed her?

One can still hope...

I guess that would supplement my initial assessment of where we were heading:
"FedEx your bags and fly naked."

They make you take off your shoes
in the Bellevue Psych Er.

That happened to me after I was taken
there, suffering from abuse from a therapist.

They take everything away from you,
make you sit in a room,
with everyone else behind glass windows.

And if you insist they record sexual abuse
in your medical record,
they will tie you down to a gurney, and forcible sedate you.

That's what Bellevue ER did to me
on October 28, 2005.

My name is Virginia Hooper.
I live in New York City.
