I searched, but can't find where this has ever been addressed before.
I have an "interesting" schedule which as me regularly working the
next day on only a couple hours sleep. Towards the end of the day i'm
at the familiar slap happy stage It seems more pronounced in me
though, maybe because i do it so often. So what is the
chemical/medical or whatever explanation for this change in behavior?

Sleep deprivation or debt?

That would be the cause, yes, but what exactly is changing in your
brain chemistry or whatever that's making you giddy?
