Elbow Pain

Hi,

I'm experiencing an excruciating pain in one elbow only when I am gettiing
out of a chair or couch and put presssure on the elbow as I lift myself up.

In spite of the intense pain, I cannot locate the spot that hurts to show my
doctor where it emanates from.

Even immediately after a episode I can poke and prod all around the elbow
but not feel any tender area at all.

Any insights or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If this is really problematic for you, or if you have related symptoms
like numbness and/or tingling in your fourth and fifth fingers on that
side, you should see an orthopedist about it.

This shows the course of the ulnar nerve travelling behind your elbow,
and sort of speaks for itself:

These are patient education links:

There are lots of good links at these Google searches.  Some are a
little technical, but most are intended for patients, like the two
links I pasted in above.

Good luck,
