My mom and my aunt are both manic depressive/bipolar patients. They are
currently both sick. Today my aunt decides that they should snort sage (as in
the herb found in turkey dressing).

Any ideas where my aunt would come up with this and what she thought it would
do for them?

THANKS I REALLY APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK!!!

I am completely baffled by this and don't even know what I should think of
their act???!!!

By the way:

My sister just informed me that my mom seems very high.....as in very giddy
and won't stop laughing. We are not sure if this is her medication or not.
She has never acted like that. It was just after she and my aunt snorted the
sage that she became very happy, talkative and giddy.......is it possible she
got high? Or is it in her head....maybe she thought she was really doing a
drug of some sort and is playing it up to make it seem like she is stoned?

(They snorted it just like cocaine......made it into a powder, formed a line
and used a straw  to snort it into their nostrils)

Allegedly:  Sage in high doses is purported to cause euphoria, or
heightened intoxication when combined with alcohol.  This info came
from sources I wouldn't want to share, and I can't back it up.

However, according to The People's Pharmacy website, it can be toxic if
you take enough of it.
