It's about 1/4 of an inch. I've heard that swallowing a toothpick can
kill people....
Thanks for any comment.

The odds are with you. See a doctor if you have ANY kind of abdominal
pain or fever. In a week, you'll almost certainly have passed it, and
can quit worrying.
If you have NO symptoms at all (absolutely no pain, no sensitivity in
your belly, and you feel fine), seeing a doctor will just waste your
money. They can't see the toothpick by any technology, and will tell
you what I just did. They might prod your belly and charge you for it,
but you can do that to yourself and save a thousand bucks.
Of course, this is advice you're getting on the internet, and is not
necessarily worth any more than you paid for it.

Thank you for the prompt feedback. Someone told me that toothpicks -
being made of wood - would be broken down or blunted by the stomach,
but there are numerous reports on the net about deaths and injuries...

No, they're not digested or blunted. But USUALLY they are lubricated by
mucus and food, and passed. There's really nothing else I can tell you.
You have to wait it out.
