Gallbladder Removal: Post-Op Period?

Is anybody more than a year past their gallbladder removal?

I had mine out the first week in August and still don't feel like I'm back to
normal.   Maybe 80%, but not 100%.

Just for perspective, though, I did a 30-mile mountain bike ride with my
son-in-law on Sunday and derived some sort of perverse gratification when we had
to stop so he could rest and massage out some cramps.

So, I'm not half-crippled or anything like that.... but I still feel that I'm
still not able to put out like I could the day before the op - Ok, maybe the
month before op... that last gallbladder attack was a queen bitch.

Also, at work, I just don't have the same hard edge that I usually have when
attacking problems.

I can think of a number of possibilities:

- Some damage from the anesthesia

- Something from the last gallbladder attack (I was on my back for four days)

- Digestive tract not absorbing nutrients the same

- Some sort of heart damage

- Some problem that's coincident with but not related to the op

- An over-active imagination.

I'm going for the last one, but would like to hear from somebody who has had
this procedure and how they feel long term.
