Hello, sci.med readers!

(Originally posted to sci.med.obgyn, a cancelled group)

During intercourse, my partner had a strong orgasm and her cervix came
down in her birth canal to say "hello" to my penis. I've read of this
and experienced it before, but this was a case in which my penis was
banging against her cervix during thrusting. I felt the contact
strongly and it seemed like a new, very intense sensation. The contact
triggered my own orgasm.

Here's my first question:

Is it medically possible to achieve direct injection of semen from the
meatus of the penis (the urethral opening) through the os (opening) of
the cervix, into the uterus?

Thrusting is not required for ejaculation once a male
is "over the hill", the first phase of male orgasm. It seems a
sustained contraction in the female and a sustained push on the part of
the male could do this. I hope I have the terms right, above.

Has this ever been documented?

Can any of you speculate on the anthropological, evolutionary, or other
"purpose" of female orgasm?

Might it be to achieve such injection, rather than dipping into the
seminal pool?

I would think direct injection would increase the probability of
conception. However, I have read that in assisted reproduction, direct
injection of a semen sample to the uterus via catheter (or is it
cannula?) causes cramping because prostaglandins are foreign to the
uterine ecology.

Has any reader here experienced this cramping?

Can you describe it?

Can it result in expulsion of semen from the uterus?

Yours,

Well, I was kind of expecting a reply of some kind.

Is anything I wrote not clear to you, Reader? Am I off topic here?
