For background I am a computer programmer who works on a computer
10-12 hours a day. I also wear contact lenses for nearsightedness. I
recently had my eyes examined by a doctor for a contact prescription
renewal and exam for glucoma etc... Nothing was found out of the
ordinary. I do, and have always had floaters in my eye since I was 16
and they seem like they are always around.

Recently I have been having an 'odd' sensation in my left eye. It comes
and it goes, but its akin to some slight pressure. Until recently I
haven't put much thought into it, and now I am trying to track down its
cause.

I have also had over the past month episodes of what I would call
'fever-breaks' late at night and I wake up rather wet from sweating. I
also have a slight case of conjestion in my nose a left ear. I do
periods of running outside from 3 - 6 miles a day 5 times a week. And
ran a 10k on october 9th.

What disturbes me at the moment is my left eye, with the 'pressure' /
'weird feeling' it is having. I first attributed it to eye strain, but
now it seems it might be something different. I tested my left eye and
it seemed no different in daylight conditions with ample light around.
However I did notice that in extremly low light my left eye is
incapable of discerning objects that my right eye can? Is this a sign
of a serious problem? I would rather not go and spend a lot of money
and be poked and tested to find out whats going on if its just
something as simple as a sinus infection.

If this is the wrong newsgroup I am sorry, and please inform me the
correct location to post, if you know it.
