This Friday, I have 4 wisdom teeth that are to be extracted. This will be my
first surgery, and I was wondering if there were any suggestions about
anything, like post-op care, how to reduce swelling, anxiety, etc. I am
really nervous about this, so anything you got would be helpful!

If you are having all 4 taken out at one time, I hope this is being
done by an oral surgeon.
Your surgeon should have given you full pre-operative instructions,
esp. if you are going to be asleep for the procedure. Furthermore, your
surgeon should give you a printout of explicit postoperative precautions
and care.
Have plenty of ice at home. Generally, ice applied 15 min. on, 15
minutes off for a couple of hours will cut down on swelling. The
surgeon may give you meds for swelling, and certainly for pain.
If you have specific questions, call your surgeon no later than the day
before. Have someone who can come with you.
Good luck,
Steve

Your doctors may supply this, but in case they don't, get a couple of
rubber gloves. You can fill them with ice and tie them together and
hang them over your head so the "hands" rest against the side of your
face. Easier than holding the ice there yourself.
