If a patient presents with unilateral facial swelling and numbness with mild-
moderate occassional headaches, how would you diagnose and offer differential
diagnosis?

I'd need a lot more information than that.

Patient has history of diabetes, hypertension, angina, hypercholesterolaemia.
Patient presented with unilateral facial swelling, numbness, mild to moderate
headaches.  Evidence of narrowed blodd vessel (unsure if artery/vein or
causative factor though).  Also, recently found evidence of thyroid nodule.
Patient currently hospitalised

Where is swelling?  Where is numbness?  How large is the swelling?  Is
it soft or hard?  Tender or non-tender?  Fluctuant?  Fixed to tissues?
Solitary, lobular?
    Fever?  Blood work?
