Treadmill weight limits

I'm trying to figure out a treadmill that a friend who is morbidly obese
can use. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any that
manufacturers will say is useable by someone weighing more than 400 pounds.

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions? I don't care what the rated
weight limit is as long as the treadmill is actually capable of
continuing to work for a few years when being used by someone who weighs
that much. That is, if you know of a treadmill that worked in this
situation, I'd be interested even if the manufacturer won't warranty it
for use beyond a given weight.

I think you'll need a treadmill with at least a 7 horsepower motor. I
don't know the horsepower of the one below, but it meets your capacity
requirement.

For over 35 years, Landice has made treadmills - only treadmills. We
have placed over 50,000 units in the harshest commercial environments.
Because we use the same time-tested commercial grade components in all
our treadmills, only Landice can offer a lifetime residential treadmill
warranty.

· 22"x63" four-ply treadbelt
· 3-1/2" diameter, 22-pound steel rollers
· 500-pound user weight capacity
· Reading / Accessory Rack
· L8 Footprint 32" x 82" - Weight 415 lbs.
· 15% electric grade elevation
· 0.5 - 12 mph speed range

Thanks, I hadn't found this when I'd looked for brands. It seems pretty
expensive for a treadmill (more than I was expecting, anyway), but I
guess that may be the price for something that can handle that much weight.
