It Is Deathly. Any professional who is Complicit, tacit or otherwise, does harm. It should be illegal. Existing laws need to be enforced. The access and ability for a patient to pursue one's rights needs to be more reasonable. Currently, the process is almost impossible to negotiate, without extensive legal assistance. Most people cannot afford such legal assistance, which in effect, nullifies the laws. Health Literacy Is a critical issue ~ Procedures and steps, precautions, effective methods Need to be commicated to patients. Currently, the information is arcane, and is not easily accessible for for a 6th-grade reader, the average literacy level of most Americans. This needs to change. Patients in psychotherapy need to understand their rights, and they need to understand effective methods of filing complaints regarding privacy and other violations. Obstacles and collusion withint the mental healthcare system need to corrected, or prosecuted, so as to ensure legal compliance among a regulated profession, Eg, psyhotherapy. Presently, In New York State Intimidation of a patient By a mental healthcare professional Is Illegal. I was intimidated. Such intimidation by an anuthority figure, particularly, a mental healthcare professional, obstructs and hinders a patient from taking proactive steps to protect their legal and ethical rights. Consequently, Patients are further marginalized In their attempts to pursure their rights, Eg, labelled as being pathologcially driven, When in fact, such a drive is essentially Healthful & Vital. Unless the methods And/or consequence Are destructive beyond reason. For me, A year is destructive beyond reason. "Truth or Lies. Or else, Life or Death.
