Hey everyone
My family has somehow developed a very mysterious rash. My aunt was the
first to notice her rash, my uncle developed it several weeks later,
and my cousin then developed the rash several weeks after that. The
rash is extremely itchy, and they appear on their neck, arms, back, and
ankles. Rather than the typical rash which consists of thousands of
"dots" all over the body, this rash looks more like mosquito bites
(raised bumps) and they appear in groups of 2 or 3 in a group. They
are bright red in colour and they appear abruptly. Topical creams,
meant to relieve itching, remove the dots, but new ones will appear in
another area of the body. Doctors are mystified. Has anyone
experienced this problem or have heard of this?
Thanks in advance,
Rina

I had an infestation of mites once. I don't know if they bit me or just
crawled on me, but they made me itch. They were barely visible, and I
was lucky to notice them. They probably came from a dirty pool of water
outside due to a clogged drain. Once the water dried up and I did a
good vacuum and dusting job, they were gone and the iching stopped.

Rashes are hard to diagnose without seeing them. That said, this sounds
like bites from an infestation of some sort, particularly with bedbugs.
Clues to bedbugs would be new lesions noticed on first waking up in the
morning and tiny black/red stains on bedsheets.

Sounds like a biting insect or spider.
You did not say if there is any link to
the time of day or to any particular room
in the house.

Thanks for the responses! I don't believe there is a link between the
time of day or room in the house, but another strange thing about this
is new "spots" will not form until the other spots have been cleared
up.
