Subject: Longevity, in August 4 article
Date: August 5, 2005

In "Active lady to mark 100 years on the go" (Aug. 4, p. E1),
Pearl Kirby attributes her longevity to "plain good genetics
and a bit of good luck, her strong faith, hard work and exercise,
good nutrition and not ever smoking or drinking alcohol."

Gee whiz, Pearl, I wonder if flu shots had anything
to do with it!
