Hi all,

My mum suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, but she's in the beginning of
the disease afaik and she's being medicated. Lately, she's suffering
from a feet itch. She feels the need to scratch her feet a lot and then
there are some red 'very' small lumps. After scratching, a liquid comes
out. If se cleans her feet with Betadine her skin gets dry and falls.

Is this any known condition. I've booked an appointment to her doctor
but things get complicated during the summer and if I could help her
somehow it would be great. Any ideas on what this could be?

Cheers,

Paulo Matos

COMMENT:

You're not going to get a diagnosis of a rash over the internet. You
didn't even tell us what drugs she was put on. But whatever they are,
if the rash started after treatment, why don't you try a drug holiday
(ask the doc). In medical causal diagnosis, "FTD" doesn't have anything
to do with sending flowers. It means "First, think drugs".

Also, the older people get, the drier and itchier their feet get.
Eucerin or Bag Balm sometimes works wonders, and it's hard to hurt
anybody with it.
