A Fiery Speaker for HEU Summer School
15.07.2005. Jose La Luz, Assistant Director of Organizing for the
AFL-CIO, spoke at the Hospital Employees' Union 2005 Summer School at
UBC. He led the drive which organized tens of thousands of public
sector workers in Puerto Rico. He is a fiery speaker and HEU activists
gave him repeated standing ovations. He provides a glimpse of the
progessive current in the U.S. labour movment we seldom see in Canada.
