I'd be sure that they tested for C. difficile toxins A&B... If
negative, then you might need another colonoscopy (assuming that
you're not taking any other medications that could change your GI
system, like sorbitol-containing cough medications for example). H2

I do not know what GI and H2 stand for but I am taking a lot of
medications but I have been taking them for 5 years too:-(

OK thanks. I do not take any cough mixture medication but I do take
stuff for BHP (prostate) and heart medication but once again this is
not new????

I am sorry but I have to follow up my own post as this may help
somebody else in a similar position. This is a very delicate subject
and I do not alway manage the best choice of words but here goes. I
have been 'as water' from my stoma and my anus since January when I
had a chest infection which required 3 different courses of
anti-biotics to clear. Suddenly today I realise eveything has 'firmed'
up nor am I having to use my anus. I have no explanation for this
improvement other than a couple of days ago I started taking a small
sprinkling of salt on my food. This of course may not be relevant at
all but maybe a clue to folks who know about these issues.
