I have a question totally unrelated to my other posts:

The palm side of my right hand for about 7 months or more has dry flaky
type skin. It is hard to describe. It does not itch or anything. My
left hand is completely normal. Dont have this anywhere else on my
body.

I have for about a year noticed that I have discolored areas under my
toenails. WOuld this somehow be related?

Hello,
Have you been to see your doctor about this issue? If not, I encourage you
to arrange for an appointment. Your doctor will probably prescribe a
medication such as a cream that will help you.

I do but it is not until the end of the month. What do you think it is?

If it is not bothering you and you have to wait two weeks or so, don't worry
about it.

Ask about the toenail discoloration. That might be a fungal infection that
is easily treated.

Just realized something. This on my right hand resembles what I have on
the bottom of my feet too. Can you have a fungus on your hands?

Hello,
I have a medical book that was written by a doctor. In the back of the
book, the doctor explains various medical terms. I'll write what it says
about the word Fungus--mold or yeast that may infect skin, internal
surfaces (mouth, vagina) or tissues.

Fungas Infection-Infection caused by fungus.

I should note that I am a doctor. Your doctor should be able to determine
whether or not it is a fungus.

No, Jason, you should note that you are NOT a doctor, an important
point, in my opinion.

Well  doctors
have told me this is probably a skin
fungus, and methinks you spread it from
your feet to your hands simply by touching
your feet.  In my case, the palm flaking
was self-limited and went away on its own,
as the doctor said it would.  But you may have a
stronger strain of fungus.  If it is already
under your fingernails or toe nails, you better
see a physician.
Quack quack,
