"Although society may take a dim view
of forgetting, doing so could have a
'silver lining' ~ helping shield a person
traumatized by an event from developing
posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Their results ... imply that 'deliberate' disruption
of the memory of the traumatic event might prove
therapeutically beneficial.'
In fact, he and his team are now investigating
whether it is possible to facilitate abolition
of troubling memories by pharmacological means,
Klein told Psychiatric News.
...
In view of their finding that recall of a traumatic
event may promote development of PTSD, Klein
and his colleagues question whether therapies that
'elicit traumatic memories as part of the recovery
process'~ such as exposure therapy ~ may be
counterproductive in some cases.
Nonetheless, a number of studies have found that
exposure therapy can help patients with PTSD."

I once yearned for a lobotomy .
so I could forget what lay on my shelf behind!
I now wish for life
and life wishes for me..
No death wish in here.
Just being with no plea!

Enough kicks!
Enough kicks to ..
Strain my brain
To cause a ...
Brain strain!!
That prompted an urge
To STOP the splurdge ..
Of unwanted angst
Unwanted speech ..
That trickled from ..
My imaginary lepracorn ..
That was creul yet beside me
And selfishly inside me ..
That pot of GOLD!
That spotlight shine!
That need for attention
For none was mine!
Compassion for me
I did sigh for thee ..
"Tis not with shame
I provoked the game!
The game of what!?
A game of me ..
I played the main part
And other did not see ...
Lost lots ..lost lost .
Got lost in projection ..
A way I delved ...
For my own protection ..
Was hard to face ..
What I see was in me ..
Now I face life happily ..
Sometimes strain ..
yet it's free.
Love!
