Hi all,
I wonder if anybody has the interests to develop an open-source medical
diagnosis system.
It is hoped that via the assistance of computers, you can have more
understandings of your own mind and body. By observing the subtle
syndromes on your bodies, you can have a clearer picture of your
conditions before going to a clinic or a hospital. You can save more
time and money spending on looking up information in healthcare books
or consulting a medical doctor.
The benefit of open-source software is the transparency. Everyone has
the right to see the internal logics of the whole system, or even to
modify the contents and code. Anyone has the right to ask for a
feature or some function in the system. The system may to some degree
narrow the gap between people who can afford health care and people
who cannot.
Open-source software comes from the support of communities; the fruit
goes back to communities and the general public. Most important of
all, the system and the knowledge can be passed on and on since all
things are transparent to the public without any interference from any
third party.
