In all fairness, you left the hospital against medical advice, so declaring
them lazy is a bit over the top. They can't make you do the right thing,
you know. They also can't make the other hospital accept you or your
insurance company pay for it. Ultimately, you are free to do as you wish
and you did. That's hardly their fault.

I am in the UK and don't have or need medical insurance. My hospital were
more than willing to have me if the other hospital had transferred me.
Anyhow the 1st hospital agreed to discharge me - I didn't walk out.
