: I have read that the combination of Buspar (buspirone) and
: trazadone can cause serious liver problems.
: My question is: At what strengths? For example, would it be dangerous
: to take ~15 mg/day of buspirone
: (for anxiety) and 100 mg of trazadone (as an aid to sleep)?
The gold standard for treating anxiety is Paxil.
BuSpar has never been a first line treatment, nor is it terribly
effective, as i recall.
If you have sleep problems, you really ought to have a sleep study done.
Pills only cover up problems.
How much vigorous exercise are you getting? This is the best treatment for
anxiety/depression _and_ sleep problems.

It works in benzodiazapam-naive patients.

IMO, Buspar sucks. I've said this in other NG's, but I actually got some $$
out of a class-action lawsuit against them:
