Hello,
Mom had a nasty cold with some chest congestion.
She blew her nose too hard, got a nosebleed and
then sometimes saw small amount of blood in cough.

I was wondering if blowing nose too hard would
rupture blood vessels such that blood would show
up in cough as well. Has anyone experienced this?

Also, she doesn't have any tightness of chest or
fever. Assume it's okay, but wanted to check with
others in the forum...

Thanks!

It sounds like the blood in her sputum might have nothing to do with her
cold. We can tell from the description given.

She should consult her physician who knows her history, can ask her
questions, examine her and order tests, if needed.
