Unformed feces

Hi,

I am a 57 year old male. More and more frequent for over a year, it has
now become constant. I no longer form feces. Now my feces sort-of exudes
as a paste from my anus. This occurs in small-medium quanties without
warning or sensation.

I depend on the VA for "health care" so when I asked my VA doctor, I
received no real response.

Perhaps if I had some diagnostic suggestions, it would help.

Or.... If this indicates something serious (not just inconvenient) then I
could pay to see a civilian doctor.

Suggestions?

Although most changes in bowel habits are not related to cancer, changes in
bowel habits can be a symptom of cancer. there are a whole  bunch of other
things that can cause this, like some infections, neurological changes and
hyperthyroidism.

I would ask to see a gastroenterologist (intestinal specialist).
