I had a pituitary adenoma (benign tumor) operation, for some unknown
reasons, the pituitary was removed completely. I am on a bunch hormone
replacements with weakened immune system and high blood pressure
(corticosteroid?). Could it be removed by mistake? what is the long
term complication?

When a pituitary adenoma is removed, the rest of the normal pituitary
is often removed as well, this to reduce the chances of recurrence of
the tumor.  Many patients require replacement of the normal pituitary
hormones after the operation for the adenoma.  If the replacement is
handled properly, there should not be any serious problem.

Best,

Bob
