IS there a way to become taller, I am 18 years old and am 5'8, which is a
little below the average height.  I was wondering if it is possible for me
to still grow, by exercise, different foods, anything?

Just eat a healthy diet. That  is all you can do.

Try growing your brain, or just hang around with short people.

Put a wire around the lower leg and tighten it until the leg
breaks . When it heals you get callus between the gaps and you are
taller . Do one leg at a time . Can put on 6 inches in two years ,
surgeons in England do it .

That post reminded me of some nut that made over a $100,000 selling
a booklet that provided instuctions on how a man could get a longer penis.
The booklet told people to tie a sting aroung the penis and hang a small
weight (that came with the booklet) to the sting. The weight was suppose
make the penis grow. The gov't eventually closed him down. This might be
an urban legend but I have heard the story repeated by dozens of people
over the years.

In Sheffield one hospital does this surgery , soon there will
be no more dwarfs!! and everyone even the women will be over 6ft
http://www.shortsupport.org/Health/Leg-Lengthening/hospitals.html

This page lists all facilities world-wide that perform Cosmetic Leg
Lengthening operations. While surgery can be performed at a fraction
of the cost in some less developed countries, it is important for
anyone considering this surgery to understand that medical care varies
considerably by country. Prospective patients should only consider
admitting themselves to a hospital outside their own country if they
have a significant personal support structure near by.

Facilities are listed by country.

It may not be much comfort to you now, but in 25 or 30 years you'll be
glad that you don't have a bad back like all your tall friends!
