I am a 58 yr. old male. Recently I've noticed a strange eye lesion. I can't
find anything similar to this via an internet search.
It is a very small lesion in the white of my eye. It is oval shaped with a
pencil-thin red outline and a whitish inside not unlike the regular white of
my eye (so it is hard to tell if it is really discolored). It has been there
for almost 2 weeks. It has not changed in appearance. There are NO SYMPTOMS
whatsoever. In fact, it is not noticeable to anyone unless I brought it to
their attention.
This does not seem to resemble any diseases I can find (melanoma in the eye,
uveitis, iritis, etc.).
Obviously I will have to get it looked at, but I'm wondering if anyone has
any ideas?

is it a pinguecula? The description needs to state where on the white
of the eye it is, and you might look to see if the other eye has one,
too! H2

HH:
Thanks. I looked it up.
Mine is not on the nasal side and not extremely near the cornea.
Also, it does have a very thin red outline.

Is it at the border of cornea? Generally all you would need to look-up
are 1. Phlecten 2. Bitot's spots 3. Ptyrigium 4. Degenarative spots.
Most of these not very harmful

I think its a pterygium. nothing to worry about. they dont even have to
take it out until it starts impinging on your cornea and interferes
with your eyesight.
