My CBC lab report came back. Half of the tests came back "Out of Range" and
yet my doctor says they are all normal.

Red Blood Cells 3.67
Hct  35.6
Hemoglobin    11.9
MCV 97
MCH  33.4
Platelets 95

Doesn't this look like anemia plus thrombopenia?? All my CBC values have
been declining from year to year and, now, from month to month. Nothing to
worry about??  I am 75 yo male.

When the tests say "Out of Range" doesn't that mean that they are abnormal?
How can my doctor say they are normal?

I suggest that you visit another doctor--or as they say
"Get a second opinion".

You might want to visit webmd.com and do a search of anemia and thrombopenia.
Download the info.  Also, do a google search for Medline Plus and download
those reports on these subjects.

I would say that you need to sit down with your doctor and ask him/her
to explain more fully.  A lot depends on your medical history,
medications and a discussion is beyong the purpose of the news group.
If he is unable to explain the results to you any better, see a
qualified internist or hematologist...  IMHO,  H2
