The other day I blew my nose and cleared it out with a tissue and
there was some black stuff in in my nose. I have no idea what this
black stuff was but it kind of worried me. It was almost like ink or
mascara. There wasn't alot there but just enough to cause some
concern. I know that it wasn't there four hours earlier. I didn't do
anything that would cause it to get there. I don't have any medical
conditions that could cause it. The only things I have are GERD and
vasomotor rhinitis.

Is this something to be worried about? I don't have insurance so I'll
only go to the doctor if it's extremely important.

Not to worry. Likely just some clotted blood, especially if you have
nosebleeds. Even if you don't have them a lot, it's possible to have one
happen at night, the blood flows back down and you might not even notice
that you had a nosebleed.
