dear all,

just wondering why it is that, during a pneumonia infection, bacterial
agents often get down to the lower respiratory tract before the virus
do, while the latter stay in the upper respiratory tract, or is it just
a misconception?

Viruses cause nasal congestion and damage the cilia , making
it easier for the bacteria to invade . That is why antibiotics cut
short by two days even viral infections
