The scan was completed last monday, and he told me That I did not have to
come see him until next moday(6 days away). If this is cancer, would he put
off the meeting that long or is he just letting me enjoy the holliday before
he breaks the bad news to me? What are the odds of a spot "meaning" cancer?
I am a 66 year old female ex-smoker. I quit 10 years ago. I do not have any
symptoms of anything.

Thank you

No way to know...not even to guess. You haven't even told us what part of
the body this "spot" is located.

Assuming it's a lesion in your lung, you'll have to wait until you can talk
to someone who's actually seen the CT scan results. I doubt you could read
anything, serious or not, into the followup appointment schedule - most
likely it has to do with where they could find a slot in the schedule for
you. The timing likely implies neither bad nor good news.

You're understandably nervous about it...why don't you call your doctor's
office and tell them you want the results of your CT scan? Your doctor may
not have seen them yet, but certainly they're available and he can get the
info and call you back.
