I've recently switched from Nasonex (Mometasone Furoate) nasal spray to
Gen-Bludesonide AQ. Glucocorticosteroid (Rhinocort) nasal spray to keep
nose polyps from growing back after surgery removed them last year.
A doctor told me that this Gen-Bludessonide spray cost less and more
potent. Printed on the box: Treatment and prevention of nasal
polyposis. A previous doctor told me there isn't a spray out there that
will shrink polyps but the word 'treatment' on the box seems to sugest
otherwise. Am I correct? The only thing I know that does are Prednisone
pills.
Question: What is the most effective nasal spray that keeps polyps from
growing and/or shrink them as close as Prednisone does?
(I get on Prednisone only when asthma gets really bad. Not only does it
stop the asthma, it also shrinks the nose polyps enough so I can smell
again. But being on those pills too long isn't good. And when I get off
the pills my sense of smell fades after a few days).
Anyway, the spray bottle of this Gen.. itself appears to be of higher
quality and comes with cap. Unlike the other that seem to spray unevenly
and have a odd scent.
