Infants die; reaction to polio drops feared
Tuesday November 23 2004 00:36 IST
KHAMMAM: In a shocking incident, three infants died, after allegedly
developing reaction to polio drops administered on Sunday in Penuballi
mandal of this district.

According to information reaching here, all the three infants, aged under
two months, suffered from shivering after being given polio drops. One kid
died on Sunday and two others succumbed on Monday. Unconfirmed reports said
that another infant died in the mandal due to a similar reaction.

The victims were identified as R Venkat Narsaiah of Bramhalakunta, Pramila
(Karaigudem) and another baby girl who is daughter of one K Narasimham Kumar
in Upplachalaka village. The parents alleged that the deaths were a result
of complications arising out of polio drops and that the children were
normal and healthy before.

Dr Gopala Krishna and Dr Ranga Prasad from Hyderabad, who are a part of the
rapid response team of WHO, visited the district to obtain a report on the
deaths.

When contacted, district medical and health officer Dr R Krisha Bramham
maintained that the deaths were unrelated to polio drops. ``It is a
coincidence that the deaths happened just a day after polio drops
weregiven,'' he said.

John, on the CDC website they admit that polio drops may cause polio,
thus they are not used in the United States anymore. I guess they are
still used in other countries around the world, as you have
illustrated. The vaccine that is given in the states is not capable of
causing polio.

still concerned about vaccines, but learning more and more each post.

John does not care. The polio drops, i.e. oral vaccine, is being given in
India, where there is still a nationawide epidemic.

John likes seeing dead or crippled children.

Provided, of course, that they are killed or crippled by a
vaccine-preventable disease.

Oh really, the only crippled ones I see are the tens of thousands crippled
by your vaccines every year, you can work it out yourself from the
beginning--Leicester had 2,200 less deaths in children under 5 when they
were all unvaccinated over the 98% vaccinated years, over the whole of the
UK that would be 100,000 children killed by vaccination and the ignoring of
sanitation, but what would you epect if you take smallpo pus off a person
and cut it into the arms of babies??  http://www.whale.to/a/lymph2.html

Now you cause 98% of autism, that is 500,000 people in the UK, and you have
the cheek to say I promote death & disease by attacking your disease agent.
In case you hadn't noticed while you are living in vaccine cloud cuckoo
land, the world is very sick, and Fisher alludes to the real villian, but is
too polite or politic to say it outright:

one American child in 166 has been diagnosed with autism spectrum
disorder...... 9 million American children under 18 have been diagnosed with
asthma.......nearly 3 million children ..... learning disabled. ..... 4
million children between the ages of 3 and 17 years have been diagnosed with
ADHD........206,000 Americans under the age of 20 have type 1 diabetes.....
1 in 400 to 500 American children and adolescents are now diabetic.   Today,
arthritis affects one in three Americans, and about 300,000 American
children have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
used to be so rare that statistics were not kept until its recent rise in
children. http://www.whale.to/a/moth.html

Listen pal, in 1890 medical naturopaths never lost a measles case, as did
homeopaths, also with smallpox, and nutritional doctors never lost a measles
case http://www.whale.to/m/measles.html  and so on

If you are afraid of diseases then give up your poisons and find some REAL
medicine, you know the stuff like vitamin C that you have been suppressing
for 100 years--I list them all here http://www.whale.to/m/therapies.html

So piss off with your fearmongering, I am sick to death with death and
distruction visited by you medical mafia types
http://www.whale.to/a/fear_dis.html

I know you have been brain washed but that nasty side is real irritating,
why can't you just lie nicely like Paul Offitt, go back to your handlers and
get them to mellow out your bullshit.

I really doubt that 100,000 children die a year from all causes in the UK,
let alone from vaccines.

Actually, careful studies of vaccines have shown that the vast majority of
autism cases are not caused by vaccines. No one has been able to demostrate
that any cases of autism are caused by vaccines.

And, if we didn't have vaccines, there were would definitely be fewer cases
of all these illnesses. Dead kids don't get sick.

Yeah, the joints of obese people wear out faster than the joints of
normal-weight people.

So. There has been a recent rise in television watching and cell phone use
by children, too. Maybe these are the causes.

There is no evidence that vaccines are related in any way to the increase in
JRA, either.

Yeah right.

Well, please provide the real evidence (good research from peer-reviewed
journals) that it works to do what you say.

Actually, because of vaccines and herd immunity, medicine and its vaccines
have prevented thousands of deaths. Sadly, people are still dying of
vaccine-preventable deaths in the 3rd world.

Nice attacks. When you can stop your personal attacks and replace them with
real arguments backed by real evidence, then we will listen.

Gee, I must have hit a nerve! He's getting a little testy!

You should lie a little more "nicely" too. Instead of "Listen pal, in
1890 [lie]," it should say, "Golly gee, in 1890..."

>If you are afraid of diseases then give up your poisons and find some REAL

Last I checked, vitamin C is legal and available over-the-counter. How
is it being "suppressed"?

>So piss off with your fearmongering, I am sick to death with death and

Then you can leave the "sci.med" newsgroup if you're sick to death of
us.

Tell me, did people die of disease before there were doctors? How old
did people tend to get before there were doctors? How old do people
get to these days?

Educated, not brainwashed. You're neither -- just an idiot paranoid
psychotic.

Couldn't you please take your discussion somewhere else. This is

Please file your complaint with John, who initiated this thread and
crossposted to your group.

Once a thread starts moving along, it is usually impossible for anyone to
know what groups people are posting from. To trim groups at this time would
possibly discourteous to someone.

Exactly. The reason why the oral polio vaccine is given in some areas is
that it is thought to provide better protection against polio than
injection. In regions of the world where polio is much more likely than the
US, like India, they still give the oral polio vaccine.

""The deaths are a sheer coincidence. We are 100 per cent sure that the
deaths have nothing to do with polio drops," Dr Rao said.

Principal secretary (medical and health) I V Subba Rao said the post mortem
reports proved that the deaths were due to the vaccine."

Polio dropped from list of suspects
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/935121.cms

November 25, 2004

HYDERABAD: Two more babies who had been given polio drops last week died
at Penuballi and Aswaraopet mandals in Khammam district on Tuesday, but
experts and government officials took pains to explain that the vaccine
could not possibly have caused the deaths. These two deaths and one more in
Anantapur on Tuesday took the number of post-inoculation mortalities to
seven.
A postmortem on the exhumed bodies of four children who had died over the
weekend showed that they had succumbed to neonatal complications. Health
officials said none of the seven deaths could be attributed to the oral
polio vaccine drops. Nevertheless, the incident is being "critically
viewed" and samples of the vaccine given to the children are being sent to
the Central Drug Research Institute at Kasauli.

Family welfare officials said the children, most of them months old, either
had a medical history or died of reasons not linked to the polio drops. It
was a coincidence that the deaths have occurred after inoculation.

Dr R Gopalakrishna Rao, joint director of the family welfare department,
said two of the Khammam deaths were due to asphyxia (suffocation) caused by
vomit- "not caused by the polio drops"-and one was due to intestinal
obstruction. Some of the deaths could have occurred due to some substances
being administered to the babies by the mothers: one had received oil drops
in her nose and one was given a sugar syrup.

One of the seven children who died was a premature baby who had developed
respiratory problems after swallowing amniotic fluid during birthr. A
five-year-old girl who died in Kurnool was suffering from fits, Dr Rao said.

"The deaths are a sheer coincidence. We are 100 per cent sure that the
deaths have nothing to do with polio drops," Dr Rao said.

Principal secretary (medical and health) I V Subba Rao said the post mortem
reports proved that the deaths were due to the vaccine.
Jeff - 26 Nov 2004 16:38 GMT
Get a clue John. The article indicates that the deaths were unrelated to the
vaccines. Secretary's Rao's conclusion that post-mortem reports proved that
the deaths were due to the vaccine were not backed by anything in the
article.
