Excessive bleeding and cramps

I am 23 years old. From the age of 11 I am having excessive bleeding
during menstruation. I also have severe cramps. Most of the time the
bleeding is in the form of blood clots. When consulted with a doctor,
he mentioned something about extra fibroids. I have been having this
ever since I was 12 and during this time I am forced to stay at home.

I do not know whether there is a way by which I could reduce this
bleeding or at least reduce the suffering. Sometimes I have it twice a
month.

Thanks in advance. Would greatly appreciate if someone can advise me
on this.

regards

Sandi

There is no such thing as 'extra' fibroids. Fibroids are not uncommon
but we don't normally have ANY.

You need to see a gynecologist if you haven't already. Make a list of
questions and take someone else with you to help ask questions and take
notes.

One of the diagnostic tests that may be done to find out what is going
on is called ultrasound. This will show fibroids and perhaps other
problems, and then you can discuss what was found, and what are
suggested options for dealing with that. If treatment is suggested ask
what the outcome is for each suggestion.

Get written copies of each test for your own files.

This book is available in most book stores, in many languages.
