I think I have what appears to be an inguinal hernia (haven't been to see
a doc yet). It feels like a knockwurst pushing slightly out from the
skin in the groin area, somewhat diagonally toward the right side, close
to the base of the penis. This appeared perhaps two months ago. I am
not sure it is a hernia, although I had a vasectomy about 5 months ago,
and it might be some complication from that. Anyway, I will take care of
it.
Here's my point. I had been separated about 3 years from my wife---
physically, not legally----and we resumed sex naturally after we were re-
united some 4 months ago.
Before we were separated, and after we were re-united, my wife would have
sex with me in a way that put pressure on my abdomen/groin in the very
region that this slight bulge is appearning. You see, for my wife to
enjoy her moment (have a climax), she has to be on top and she always
straddles me in a way so that her two legs are between my left leg, and
her body/left leg/weight is pressed against the region of the groin where
I see the bulge. There would be some pressure---somewhat uncomfortable,
but not exactly painful----during sex. But when you want to see your
wife happy, you'll go through whatever just to make it possible, right?
Well, if this is a hernia, could it have been caused by years of having
sex in this way?
Here are some other facts about me:
* 44 years old
* Height: 193 cm
* Weight: 98 kg (probably 10 kg above ideal)
* Body Mass Index = 26.3
* Had a sudden 10-15 kg weight gain within the 3 years I was separated,
eating an American diet
* Was jogging 2 miles at a time, about 5 times a week, for about 4-5
months prior to that; have been a spotty runner since I was a cross-
country runner in my youthful prime
* non-smoker, rarely drink (occasional single malt)
* taking NO OTC or prescription drugs now, and have no history of taking
any drugs legal or illegal
* no allergies, no chronic disease history, no autoimmunity, never any
major surgery

Physical straining might cause an inguinal hernia.
