I have had ear problems for the past while, I will give you the jist of it.
When I was a child I had to have Tubes put in my ears for draining. They
fell out but only one of the holes closed.
I never had the open hole repaired. I am currently trying to get into a
specialist because i am interested in repairing it but they are booked right
now.
I had an ear inffection about 4-5 months ago, for the most part it went
away, but I still have fluid in my ears I think. The doctor doesnt want to
prescribe me any more antibiotics because he did 3 times and it stil never
went away fully. So he recommened I see a specialist.
As it stands now, I dont have any pain or anything, but I can tell I have
fluid in my ear, When I tip my head down (to look at the ground) every other
time the hearing gets loud in my ear, its a werid feeling, like an echo
almost. I have to press my finger into my ear slightlghy and I hear this
popping noise and then the sound returns to normal.
Anyways. I am flying in two days, I just started getting a slight coold
today.
Am I going to have a lot of problems flying? Should I not go?
Thanks,
Ray.

If you have congestion in the ear with the healed eardrum, flying may be
risky.

You probably will. If you have to go anyway, I'd suggest buying a pair
of Ear Planes, because they do alleviate the condition somewhat.
They've helped me immensely.
