I am 27 years old.In february 2002 I was diagnosed with

lung cancer in my right lung. I had to have  a complete removal of my right

lung.I made an attempt to continue working, but having difficulty, I decided

to go back to my Pulmonary specialist for advice on what to do.She did some

testing on me, and told me that I am no longer qualified to do any Physical

Labor, and labeled me fully disabled per the results of my testing. She

suggested getting  hold of Social security.I did that and was step by

stepped through filing a disability claim. It came back denied,So I got an

attorney. My physical limitations on record as being (as recorded by my

pulmonoligist and given to my attorney)In an 8 hour work day I can stand less

than 1 hour (doctor noted due to weakness);walk less than 1 hour (doctor noted

due to weakness);sit less than 8 hours; lift less than 10 pounds; carry less than

10 pounds; I cannot do any pushing or pulling; I can do simple grasping and

handling; as well as fine manipulation and fingering; and I am allowed to

operate foot controls.Bending,Kneeling,Squatting,crawling,amd climbing stairs

I can occasionally do,and I am never allowed to climb a ladder.I can reach

above shoulder level.

I have been waiting on the results of my hearing since may 2004.

I got a letter in the mail saying the Judge wants one more test to be done.

The test is listed as a physical test and limited test.

I tried my best to get information and the most I got was that this is a

routine physical. It will be done by the bureau of disability determination.

I called and asked what types of tests would be administered.I was told it

will be a routine physical.I don't see how that could confirm or deny my

claims. Can anyone tell me anything about what this might be or what to

expect ?

If yours is anything like mine was, expect a cursory examination in a
ratty office by a doctor who is unfamiliar with your condition.

Thanks for the response. That scenario is about what I have been being
told.
As long as the end result is my approval.Do you think I will be
approved once this relativley unessecary exam is completed ?

I don't know - I'm just a person with a shitload of chronic illnesses,
not a disability professional. I do have a professional disability
consultant firm representing me (part of my long-term disability
insurance), and their opinion is that it's a good thing that I had so
many independent medical examinations in addition to the 10-minute
glance-over I had from the SSD doc.
