Is it safe to swim in a large public swimming pool while 4-5 months
pregnant?  if there are any risks, what are the odds of them? thanks in
advance.

I didn't have any problems this summer while swimming at a public pool.  I
was almost 8 months before I stopped going to the pool, and thats just
because I was just getting real tired.  The wieghtlessness of your body in
the pool is actually rather relaxing and reduced some of the aches and pains
I was experiencing.

You and your baby should be fine. This sounds like a great question to ask
your doctor, though, rather than a bunch of strangers over the internet.
