That will vary from state to state, but generally, no.
Disciplinary records of the medical practice boards of most states, however,
are public record. And many state board will investigate all malpractice
episodes. When they do that, if they find they need to take "corrective
action", that information becomes public. If they investigate and find no
"correction action" is needed, then that information is not made public.
IOW, if a state board disciplines a doctor for malpractice, that information
is usually public and obtainable. There are many bogus malpractice claims,
and whether or not a doctor has been sued does not necessarily reflect
his/her quality.
Your state may have a web site you can log onto and look up your doctor.
There will be some very general information such as address, specialty etc,
and usually there will be a "Disciplinary action -yes/no" statement. If yes,
you may be able to file an information request with that state board for the
particular.
